Sangeet Samrat Chitravina N Ravikiran has been globally hailed as ‘The Mozart of Indian Music’ (Wisconsin State Journal, USA) and acclaimed for “Having brought new audiences to his music” (CNN). Ravikiran stunned the music world when he identified and demonstrated 325 Indian Classical Ragas (Scales / Modes) and 175 talas (Time Signatures), inspiring Sitar maestro Pt Ravi Shankar to declare, “If you don’t believe in God, look at Ravikiran”.
He presented vocal concerts from age 5 with top ranked accompanists and has been enthralling audiences across continents with Chitravina concerts from age 12 and is labelled as “perhaps the greatest slide instrument in the world” (Radio Australia).
