Stuart Hameroff on Microtubules & Quantum Consciousness

On October 22, 2024, Dr. Stuart Hameroff spoke with Tim Ventura about his pioneering work on microtubules, biological quantum processing, and the Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch OR) theory of consciousness. The discussion explored how recent studies support a quantum basis of consciousness in the brain, adding new weight to the theory he co-developed with Nobel Laureate Sir Roger Penrose in the 1990s.

Dr. Hameroff, anesthesiologist and professor at the University of Arizona, is the author of Ultimate Computing and lead organizer of the biannual Science of Consciousness Conference.
