MARCELA HERDOVA

I have recently finished my PhD at King’s College London where I currently work as a Visiting Research Fellow.

My research focuses predominantly on conscious causation; more specifically on the scope of and obstacles

to the intention-based guidance and control of behaviour. I am particularly interested in the nature and aetiology

of spontaneous and habitual actions, and exploring in what way, if at all, these allow for intention-based

initiation and control. I am further interested in the link between deliberation, conscious intentions and the free will problem.
